About Esposito

Roberto Esposito was born in Naples where he graduated from the University of Naples 'Federico II'.
He is a Vice Director of the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane, a Full Professor of Theoretical Philosophy and a coordinator of the doctoral programme in Philosophy.
For five years he has been the only Italian member of the International Council of Scholars of the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris.

Apart from the above, he is also one of the founders of a comprehensive scientific project (the European Political Lexicon Research Centre and the International Centre for a European Legal and Political Lexicon), a co-editor of  Filosofia Politica published by il Mulino and the series 'Storia e teoria politica' for publishers Bibliopolis as well as a philosophy consultant for publishers Einaudi.
 
In spite of all abovementioned duties, he remains first and foremost an author of the famous books like "Communitas", "Immunitas", "Bios" that all have been already translated into several languages and many others like "Termini della politica", "Terza persona" and "Pensiero vivente".
